Specializing in leather goods since 1683, Meindl is a family run business that keeps authentic Alpine traditions alive.
Every piece of leather used to produce a Meindl jacket is tanned using the Chamois Procedure that dates back thousands of years. A great deal of experience and manual work is required to prepare leather from a raw hide and will take 3-4 months to produce this unique quality product.
Each leather hide used by Meindl has been acquired by hunting deer, roe deer,
chamois and ibex. This tradition of creating products which are made of the skins and horns from these great hunts has been passed down from generations.
